Cire Trudon … Pondichéry Candle
Pondichéry (“new village” in Tamil), is a city in southeast India that is widely known
for its cotton weaving industry and paisley patterns.
It became a part of French history in 1673 when the Compagnie des Indes bought
a small coastal village from the Sultan of Bijapur that thus became the
“flagship” trading post representing France's business interests in India.
Cire Trudon's candle, Pondichéry pays homage to one of
France’s liveliest trading posts with its flowery, fresh, green, softly exotic fragrance.
The head note is orange, heart note is ginger,
completed by the base notes of musk, patchouli and vetiver.
